Circular RNA (circRNA) is a special type of non-coding RNA discovered in recent years. It is abundantly present in the cytoplasm of eukaryotic cells and is mainly produced by variable-shear processing of pre-mRNA. With many important regulatary functions, circRNA can be used as a competitive endogenous RNA (ceRNA) to bind intracellular miRNAs and block their inhibition on their target genes. In addition, circRNAs are also able to regulate other types of RNA and protein activity. CircRNA is conserved in different species, it leads to differential tissue expressions, and the circular structure is not sensitive to RNase, thus making it more stable than linear RNAs. More and more studies have found that circRNA has great potential and significance in the development of new disease diagnosis and treatment methods.
Advantages
1. de rRNA and de-linear RNA for the library construction of circular RNA eliminate linear RNA interference
2. Effectively improve data reliability and detection efficiency, able to detect rare circular RNA with low abundance
3. Develop corresponding analytical methods and algorithms for circular RNA, deeply explore the biological functions of circular RNA, and discover new circular RNAs.

FAQs
1. Does RiboBio provide circular RNA enrichment services? Is there a species restriction?
RiboBio uses patented technology to perform mature circular RNA extraction and detection analysis for humans, mice and rats. The sample types cover tissues, cells and RNA samples. For circular RNA extraction services for other species, please consult local sales agents.
2.What samples should be provided for RiboBio's circular RNA extraction service, tissue, cell or RNA samples?
RiboBio has proven technology for cyclic RNA extraction for tissues, cells and RNA sample, and customers are allowed to provide any of the above sample types according to specific needs. Since the extraction of circular RNA requires a large initial amount of total RNA, RiboBio needs to detect the total RNA derived from tissues or cells before extraction in order to improve the success rate and reduce the workload of customers. The qualified samples are available for subsequent cyclic RNA analysis.
3. Is there a minimum requirement for the amount of circRNA for library construction and sequencing?
The amount of total RNA should be more than 3ug, and there’s no requirement for concentration and volume. If the sample is too large and the concentration is low, RiboBio provides sample concentration service for subsequent library construction and sequencing.
