miRNA是一类具有调控功能的非编码小RNA，主要通过与靶基因mRNA 3’UTR完全或不完全互补配对而调控靶基因的表达。pmiR-RB-Report™载体是专门用来检测miRNA作用的检测工具，将基因的3’UTR区克隆至载体海肾萤光素酶基因(hRluc)下游，作为海肾萤光素酶基因的3’UTR序列随海肾萤光素酶转录表达，故可以海肾萤光素酶基因作为报告基因，以萤火虫萤光素酶基因(hLuc)作为内参基因，通过检测海肾萤光素酶活性的相对变化情况来鉴定miRNA对该基因是否有调控作用。
